The International Finance Corporation (IFC). Orinko SA, co-owned by Gabon Power Company and Wärtsilä Development & Financial Services, signed an electricity purchase agreement with the Gabonese State on December 30, 2022.
This agreement is a key milestone for the IPP OWENDO natural gas thermal power plant project, following a concession agreement made on September 21, 2021.

To mitigate the risks associated with issuing the Gabon Blue Bond for marine conservation, Gabon has secured a $500 million guarantee from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
